His business partner Oli has competed in the 2018 MasterChef: The Professionals and returned in 2020 to win the MasterChef: The Professionals: A Festive Knockout. His versatility in the kitchen was very evident in the 2018 MasterChef: The Professionals series where, having cooked a lamb dish that was so impressive, the Observer Critic, Jay Rayner, said: “I have nothing critical to say!” Fellow judge, Marcus Wareing added: “He is inventive, creative and he leaves nothing behind in the kitchen. Sat Bains and John Freeman spotted his talent and have mentored and pushed him to grow as a chef. Take a look at how each group fared (and suffered) each week and brush up on your own skills in the process. His passion for Asian food plays an integral part in his cuisine maintaining simplicity with plenty of flavour. MasterChef: The Professionals 2018 Gregg, Monica and Marcus are back, to put another round of hopeful chefs through the MasterChef gauntlet. He has an enormous breadth of expertise under his hat. Having trained at Ashburton Chefs Academy, Laurence went on to work in the kitchens of some of the world’s finest chefs, including Sat Bains, Gordon Ramsay and Jason Atherton. The series kicked off on BBC Two last night (Tuesday, November 7) and require continue to air on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for the next four weeks. Laurence is the MasterChef Professionals winner of 2018. This year’s MasterChef the Professionals is with little with 48 chefs taking part hoping to be named combatant.
